The Problem

Newell Brands needed a packaging system that would work for their (at the time) new Rubbermaid® Take Alongs™ Meal Prep containers. Target Audience: Global General Consumer

The solution

I picked this project up right after it kicked off. I was able to take the VDL and truly push the limits of design and photography. This solution works with every curveball that was thrown our way. 1. Incorporate the NEW flag. 2. Use awe-inspiring food photography. 3. Incorporate English and French language. 4. Follow North American Packaging regulations and compliance standards. 5. Create a low-cost sustainable package using as few materials as possible.

The work

Created a system of graphics that worked across hundreds of different skus and multiple languages. Utilizing the world class photography studio JohnsonRauhoff, I was able to create incredible aspiring food photography for our packaging needs. The system included a top down photography approach for the food. Following world trends we were able to create several recipes that worked well for each sized container. For the product itself, I utilized KeyShot to create larger than life, aspirational product imagery.

The results

The outcome was more that I could have ever imagined. I am incredible proud of the Visual Design Language produced and I am thrilled to see this language in use to this day.
